Our systems integration practice has been designing, integrating and supporting digital TV platforms since they first emerged in the mid-1990s. Latterly, this expertise has extended from the traditional broadcast sector into the IPTV, VOD and OTT environment.
Our SI consultants typically assume full responsibility for integrating all the different elements of a video platform, encompassing the hardware and software in the headend and the CPE, as well as in the network linking both ends of the transmission chain. This can include integration of content provider and billing systems as required.
The key to the success of our systems integration practice lies in the breadth – and depth – of our consultants’ knowledge, built on nearly two decades of experience around the globe. This extends from specifying video server and conditional access technology at the headend all the way down to set-top box design and implementation.
In all of these areas, our extensive experience of writing RFPs and assisting with vendor selection means we have first-hand (and hard-won) knowledge of how diverse components – based on differing supplier technologies – will inter-operate in practice, ensuring that unforeseen complications are minimised and budgets (and timelines) adhered to.
